Market falls on low volumes

THE ISEQ inched lower yesterday, down 11.27 points at 2,956.28, in line with other European bourses.

Market falls on low volumes

Volumes were light as both the US and British markets were closed for bank holidays.

In the financial sector, AIB gained 0.5c to close at 19c. Bank of Ireland dipped 0.2c to 18.3c, while Irish Life &Permanent lost 0.1c to 11c. Shares in insurance group FBD were down 0.1c to €7.30.

In the construction sector, shares in Grafton increased 4c to €3.50. CRH fell 20c to €14.85, while Kingspan was 16.1c weaker at €6.98.
