Dublin: Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers’ Association (ICSA) national president Gabriel Gilmartin has called on the Government to fast track its Brand Ireland plans, the single umbrella brand for the entire Irish food sector.

He said it would be a “disastrous error” to miss out on publicity from the recent state visits of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II and President Barack Obama.

Mr Gilmartin said: “Now is the time to turn that image boost into results for the country’s food exports.
