Irish recruitment firm expanding operations in China

RECRUITMENT firm Saongroup.com is expanding its business presence in China to almost 100 cities, up from its current 25 bases.

The Irish company anticipates huge growth in its online business. China, with 460 million internet users — 33% of the population — recently surpassed Japan as the second largest economy in the world.

Chief executive Ciaran McCooey said: “This is a very significant development for saongroup.com, which has already developed a strong international footprint. China is one of the world’s most dynamic online markets and online recruitment is at the leading edge of development in the Chinese economy.
