Pre-tax profits at Corrib Oil flat

PRE-TAX profits at the Corrib Oil group remained flat last year despite the group increasing revenues by 14% to €223.2 million.

According to chief executive Eugene Dalton, the group’s performance “is considered satisfactory when the difficult market conditions are taken into account”.

The group is the largest locally-owned oil distributor and forecourt retailer in the west of Ireland and Mr Dalton also confirmed yesterday that the group expects to expand in Munster later this year with the creation of 50 jobs.
