Britvic Ireland to buy Quinn’s

Dublin/Cookstown: Soft drinks producer Britvic Ireland has agreed to buy Northern-based drinks wholesaler Quinn’s of Cookstown from the C&C-owned Tennents Northern Ireland for an undisclosed fee.

Quinn’s generated a turnover of £18 million last year. Britvic Ireland — which largely makes up the former soft drinks business of C&C — said the acquisition will complement its existing licensed wholesale business, making it the sole all-Ireland drinks wholesaler, servicing over 4,500 licensed outlets.
