Petrel Resources to seek Iraqi licences

Dublin: Irish AIM-listed oil and gas explorer Petrel Resources is seeking new licences in Iraq — its main market of focus.

The company is currently preparing a detailed proposal to participate in the recently-announced fourth licensing round in the country. Petrel managing director David Horgan said the move reaffirms the company’s commitment to Iraq, noting it already has “specific targets” within assets available in the latest round of licensing.
