BANK of Ireland has announced a number of board changes as it strives to reduce the size of its group board.

Board shake-up at Bank of Ireland

It said Denis Donovan and Des Crowley are not offering themselves for re-election to the board but both will continue to be ā€œcore membersā€ of the group executive.

The bank said it is engaged in an ā€œongoing programme of change including renewal at management and board levelā€.

This latest move it said is in the interests of facilitating further board renewal and a reduction in the size of the group board at the bank.

Non-executive directors Paul Haran, Dennis Holt and Heather Ann McSharry will retire from the board.

The Annual General Court of the Bank of Ireland Group takes place on June 15 at UCD.
