IRISH people living in Sweden have launched an initiative to help businesses in Ireland expand to Scandinavia.

The Meitheal project (meitheal.se) provides a forum for discussing and sharing information between Irish businesses already active in the Swedish market and businesses considering getting involved.

The owner of Eblana Communications, Philip O’Connor, who has lived in Sweden for 12 years, said when they saw how tough conditions are in Ireland, they decided to help firms make up the shortfall in domestic demand by exporting to Scandinavia.
