ICG executives received €400k more last year

FERRY and freight operator Irish Continental Group (ICG) paid its executive directors just over €400,000 more in 2010 than it did the previous year.

According to its latest annual report, ICG — whose chief subsidiary is Irish Ferries — paid chief executive Eamonn Rothwell a salary of €500,000 and a total package of more than €1.4 million, when various benefits, pension contributions and performance-related payments were taken into account.

This total was just over €300,000 more than Mr Rothwell received in 2009.
