CAB Motors to open mobility vehicle outlet
The unit will be formally opened tomorrow at CAB’s headquarters in Fermoy, Co Cork by Eileen O’Mahony, president of the Irish Wheelchair Association.
CAB commercial manager John Bell said: “We see the new unit as another innovation to our established business. We had been looking for opportunities to expand into this area. Our initial trials have been very well received, so we have now decided to expand with a full range of wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
“We have a suite of new vehicles, while vehicles can also be customised to suit a customer’s requirements.
“For now, we are sub-contracting that side of the business with specialist vehicle converters, but this side of the business may also expand in due course.”
The company decided to expand into specialist mobility vehicles because it noticed a gap in this service offering in Munster.
CAB Motors sales director Michael Mullins said: “We have worked very closely with health care service providers and the relevant associations in developing our product range. We anticipate that there will be considerable demand.”
