NDC to highlight milk’s twin health and weight-loss benefits

MILK can boost health in teenagers and promote weight loss as part of an adult diet — two messages high on the agenda for new National Dairy Council (NDC) chief executive Zoe Kavanagh.

The teen message will be central to today’s Milk It Advertising Awards in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. The NDC is to select a winning team from 12 schools who have devised innovative promotion campaigns for milk.

The shortlist was selected from a pool of 274 secondary schools, supported by 325 teachers. Athlete Derval O’Rourke will present prizes at today’s awards ceremony.
