Dublin: The key issue of how to deal with employees spending time on social networks was the subject under discussion at an employment seminar hosted by Dublin law firm Eversheds O’Donnell Sweeney in the Merrion Hotel, Dublin, this week.

Joanne Hyde, Eversheds’ employment law partner, said: “With 600 million Facebook users worldwide and 100mn LinkedIn users, it’s fair to say that social networking is now one of the most popular forms of communications around the globe. According to research by Peninsula, the average employee wastes more than two hours a day on online personal activities.”
