EMIGRATION is set to double to 60,000 this year as Ireland’s two-speed economy fails to deliver jobs, Bloxham chief economist Alan McQuaid believes.

Mr McQuaid said the Irish economic outlook remains clouded in uncertainty, with a two-speed economy still in evidence.

He said Bloxham remain confident that the Irish economy will return to positive GDP growth in 2011, followed by a stronger performance over the next couple of years.
