First investment for start-up fund

Dublin: Delta Partners has made its first investment of €350,000 into Digital Mines, a new Irish cloud computing service provider, from the Bank of Ireland start-up and Emerging Sectors equity fund.

The funding, managed by Delta, is part of a total investment of €750,000 into Digital Mines that includes direct investment from Enterprise Ireland. This represents the first investment from the €17m fund which was launched in December

Digital Mines, which has offices in Dublin and Krakow, was founded in 2010 by entrepreneur Ed Byrne.
