THE ISEQ index added 33.19 points to 2,976.54 in line with European and world bourses.

US stocks rose after bullish comments from a Federal Reserve official eased concerns that high oil prices could hurt economic activity.

Equities also received a boost when billionaire investor Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, said in his widely read annual letter the conglomerate was looking to make ”major acquisitions”, a sign stocks may be cheap.
