Road to recovery will be a painful one
Indeed, it is difficult to recall a time in recent modern Irish history when interest levels in the economic outlook have been higher.
We set out our views on the economy’s prospects in a report released just over a week ago, while the Central Bank and the ESRI have also recently provided early-year updates. Different forecasters will of course tend to come up with somewhat different projections, as judgments on various aspects of the economy’s performance will naturally differ to a degree.
