Suspected fakes can be seized

Luxembourg: Suspected fake goods moving through the EU from a non-EU country can be seized if there is a danger they could enter the trade bloc, an adviser to the EU’s highest court said.

The non-binding opinion by Advocate General Pedro Cruz Villalon in the European Court of Justice centres on complaints by Finnish mobile firm Nokia and Dutch conglomerate Philips, which were referred by national courts.
