WITH inflationary concerns mounting around the globe, some economies are faring worse than others.

The BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) are, not surprisingly, seeing some of the strongest rates of inflation. Russia and India are both experiencing consumer price inflation of over 8%.

In India, as in many other Asian economies, the primary concern is food price inflation, and it is the price of onions making front page headlines.
