DPS expands into US with acquisition

Cork: DPS Engineering, the Irish project management and process engineering group with offices in Dublin, Cork, Holland and Singapore has expanded its operations into North America with the acquisition of the Massachusetts engineering group, Biometics LLP.

The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Biometics was founded in 1991 by Dr Stephen Fitzpatrick, who will join the DPS board of directors when the acquisition is complete. Biometics is an engineering consultancy specialising in biotechnology including biopharmaceuticals and biofuels and employs 20 people at its design office in Framingham.
