Donegal radio deal signed

Killybegs: The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has signed a 10-year Community Sound Broadcasting Contract with South West Donegal Community Radio Limited.

The service is expected to launch in early February and will broadcast on 88.6FM to Killybegs, Miltown and environs. It will initially broadcast for four hours on Mondays and Fridays and for 12 hours at weekends. At the signing of the contract Michael O’Keeffe, chief executive of the BAI, said: “This new community radio station will add to the mix of radio services available to listeners in south-west Donegal. We wish the station every success over the term of its licence.”
