Danaher in bid to buy payments firm

Paris: Danaher Corp has offered to buy Ingenico, the world’s largest maker of payment terminals, for €1.44 billion, according to a source.

Ingenico said in an emailed statement it had received a €28 per share non-binding takeover offer, without identifying the potential buyer.

The bid is 41c a share more than its last stock price before the shares were suspended.
