Hotels call for more funding

HOTELS have called for more government funding and a recognition of their product so that they can compete internationally and promote Ireland.

This comes as figures show 35 of the country’s 900 hotels are now in the possession of NAMA, while 13 non-Irish hotels are with NAMA.

The Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) is calling on the Government to improve the trading environment in Irish tourism by promoting cost competitiveness and maintaining current levels of tourism marketing activity.
