Irish venture to produce zinc

A WORLD-LEADING geologist and a Canadian mining firm will unveil joint plans to acquire and produce Irish mineral deposits at the Zinc 2010 conference in the Clarion Hotel, Cork, on September 17, 18 and 19.

Geologist Tony Howland-Rose has come out of retirement to work on this Irish venture with business partner Guy Brusciano of Cedar Creek Mines of British Columbia, Canada. His last venture was the Allegiance Mining nickel field, which sold for €1bn three years ago to Zinifex and China’s Jinchuan Group.
