Market level after week’s trading

THE ISEQ index posted a modest fall of 19.51 points to end the week at 2,918.08. The bank stress tests results were announced at 5pm yesterday after the markets had closed. The two Irish banks involved were AIB and Bank of Ireland who both successfully passed the tests.

In the financial sector, AIB was unchanged at 90c. Bank of Ireland improved 1c to 74c. Irish Life & Permanent dipped 2c to €1.54, while insurance company FBD Holdings gained 15.5c to finish at €6.50.

In the construction sector, CRH slipped 13c to €16.20. Kingspan dropped 3c to €5.40, while Grafton Group retreated 3.5c to €2.86.
