ICG confident of reaching deal

IRISH Continental Group (ICG) is confident of reaching a deal regarding the future of its Pride of Bilbao ferry in the autumn.

ICG confident of reaching deal

ICG – the parent group of Irish Ferries – has the boat chartered out to British operator, P&O Ferries in a deal which is due to expire in October.

The Irish ferry operator has previously said that it has already received initial interest in the vessel – both from potential buyers and those wishing to charter it. While ICG has also said that a decision on the matter would be a matter for the third or fourth quarters of this year, group chief executive Eamonn Rothwell said, this week, that management is confident of striking some sort of deal by September or October.
