Plc boss Moloney reveals his ‘big disappointment’ as sell-off fails

GLANBIA plc group managing director, John Moloney, expressed disappointment at the rejection by farmers of the €343 million asset sell-off proposal.

He said they believed it was a compelling and strategic opportunity for both the Glanbia Co-operative Society and the plc.

“We did not undertake this process lightly and it is a big disappointment that it did not receive the necessary endorsement from the members of the society to take the deal forward.
