PFH acquires Irish arm of Siemens Enterprise
PFH said the acquisition makes it the largest independent ICT services provider in voice and data. It would not reveal the exact value of the deal. The merger brings the number of people employed by PFH to 200 and the company expects the deal to result in a turnover of more than ā¬45 million this year. Managing director of PFH, Paul Hourican, said: āOur skill sets are complementary with few overlaps. Now we have the ability to offer voice and data offerings from Unified Communications, switching and networking to our range of procurement, implementation, storage and support services.ā
Mr Hourican said he believes this deal has the ability to change the face of ICT in Ireland.
As part of the deal, Siemens Enterprise Communications staff based in Cork will move to the PFH Network Operations Centre in Eastgate, Cork, over the next few weeks, while all remaining staff will move to the new PFH sales and marketing headquarters in Dublin in the coming months.
