Aviva profits rise to €10.6m

PRE-tax profits at Aviva Health Insurance Ireland Limited rose by 92% to €10.6 million in 2009.

Aviva profits rise to €10.6m

Accounts just filed by the health insurer with the Companies Registration Office show that net written premiums of €58.3m had increased by 55% from €37.5m in 2008.

Net claims incurred of €26.7m increased by 38% from €19.4m in 2008. The company paid a dividend of €4m to Aviva plc in the year, compared to zero a year earlier.
