IRISH stocks plunged 2.5% yesterday, mirroring similar performances across Europe, as talks continued on Greece’s future.

Banks and airlines had a tough day with AIB, Bank of Ireland and Irish Life and Permanent all falling. Aer Lingus was down 6.1% to 68 cent and Ryanair fell almost 3% to €3.67.

AIB fell just 0.69% to €1.44 as its AGM took place in Dublin. Bank of Ireland dropped 2.5% to €1.67 and Irish Life and Permanent fell 2.6% to €2.97.
