Glanbia deal seems weighted against farmers

Since the buyout was flagged in early March shares in Glanbia have shot up. The markets are in love with this move and can’t wait for the low margin dairy/consumer business to be landed back in the lap of the co-op.

This is low margin territory, and if the Plc gets shut of the Irish division then the quoted company will gain traction on global markets a lot faster than if the dairy business was still hanging on to its coat tails.
