Co-op to buy Dawn Dairies

ARRABAWN Co-op has agreed in principle to purchase the Dawn Dairies liquid milk business in Galway from Kerry Group for an undisclosed figure.

Arrabawn yesterday began consultations on the transfer of the business with the representatives of up to 120 employees of Dawn Dairies.

More than 100 farmers supply an estimated five million gallons of milk a year to Dawn Dairies in the region.
