VisionID completes €250,000 deal to provide computers to Dairygold

It means quicker, more efficient supply and tracking of all stock in Dairygold’s 39 stores, less wastage, greater savings and, ultimately, no waiting times or delays for consumers at this busy time of year in the agri business calendar.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Clonmel-based mobile computer technology company will provide the Motorola MC3090 handheld Devices and Motorola wireless access points devices for stocktaking and other product-related functions.

It all means that Dairygold staff will know in an instant what is in stock or on order and where goods are at all times.

Managed services supporting the hardware in the field are provided in conjunction with CORE Integrated Business Solutions based in Mitchelstown, Co Cork, which has provided its entire “sector specific” CORE Agri software solution in Dairygold’s Agri Division.

VisionID sales director Cathal Murtagh said the deal would include the preloading of software and staging of the devices, making the process and delivery to the stores as seamless as possible.

“It is great to see Dairygold supporting local, indigenous, Irish-owned companies like VisionID and CORE Integrated Business Solutions,” Mr Murtagh said.

Dairygold said it was delighted with the efficiencies achieved so far and commended its partners in the initiative.
