Private role for Feeney

AFTER 32 years with Enterprise Ireland and the IDA, Mike Feeney has decided to branch out into a new career in the private sector.

Private role for Feeney

Mr Feeney, a long-time executive director of the state-backed Enterprise Ireland, is setting up his own consultancy to help Irish firms across the sectors he has served in his time with EI to establish themselves in today’s competitive market.

Commenting on his decision to enter the private sector, Mr Feeney said he was confident that his experience in dealing with many strands of the Irish business sector would give him an edge when advising companies striving to grow their businesses.

“I hope to bring the wealth of experience I have gained in working with Irish and foreign companies to my new role,” he said.

That experience includes the basic principles of business and knowledge of the food sector, with which he engaged for a long spell in Enterprise Ireland. More recently he was helping to foster companies involved in cleantech, medical devices, life-sciences, software and construction services.
