Hibernian Aviva appointment

Dublin: Hibernian Aviva confirmed yesterday that Group chief executive Stuart Purdy has been appointed to the position of products director for Aviva Europe.

Mr Purdy will also be responsible for the establishment and leadership of two new pan-European insurance carriers, Aviva Life Insurance Europe SE and Aviva General Insurance Europe SE, that, subject to regulatory approval in Ireland, will operate from 2010.
