Programme to breathe fire into agriculture in the classroom

AN initiative which will bring agriculture and the classroom closer together has been launched by Agri Aware, the agri-food educational body.

Programme to breathe fire into agriculture in the classroom

The Green Dragon Innovation Challenge is aimed at finding the brightest group of entrepreneurial secondary school students. It will focus on developing groundbreaking ideas for products or services in the areas of food, the environment and agriculture. Young hopefuls have to cultivate creative and profitable business plans for the grand prize of €2,000 and a product mentoring and development programme worth €10,000.

Ireland has a wealth of readily available natural resources. Their utilisation and marketability will be the cornerstone of the successful groups’ pitches.
