Glanbia promises milk price review as suppliers call for urgent action
A spokesman for Glanbia said its milk price will be reviewed by the board at its next meeting in the light of improving market conditions. But the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association, which protested outside the group’s Kilkenny head offices earlier this week, called on the company to act faster.
ICMSA president Jackie Cahill said Glanbia must retrospectively increase its September milk price in line with the Irish Dairy Board increase of 2.1 cents a litre.
