Providence: Singleton field could exceed targets

PROVIDENCE Resources has said that its Singleton oil field — which is located on the south coast of England — has the ability to exceed its production target for next year, of 1,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd).

The Dublin-headquartered oil and gas exploration company’s chief executive Tony O’Reilly Jnr said that the over-production could be achieved via the use of cutting edge technology to increase production.

“Our ultimate aim is to maximise production, as well as reserve potential, whilst also ensuring that Singleton is one of the best managed oil fields onshore UK,” he added.
