Temple Bar businesses ‘struggling’ despite €676m trade each year

DUBLIN’S Temple Bar generates €676 million a year but businesses say they are struggling despite many firms cutting prices.

A survey conducted by the area’s traders’ association, TASCQ found that two-thirds of this turnover is generated as a direct result of the tourism, arts and leisure sectors.

However the report did highlight that business confidence is low and firms are feeling the effects of the recession.
