Truck hire firm sees pre-tax profits increase
The German company, which has bases in Cork and Maynoothsaw its turnover increase from €24.1 million to €26.2m. According to accounts just filed, the company said the development of the business was “in line with group policy, that is to maintain market share and EBIT”.
Jungheinrich maintained its market share at 31% in 2008 and had an EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) of €969,248 compared with €652,134 in 2007, according to the accounts. Sales turnover increased in all operations. The short-term rental fleet also rose from 116 to 135 trucks, with engineer numbers rising from 36 to 40 as at year end 2008.
