Cork firm wins Home Office grant to develop mobile phone theft solution

A CORK-based company have been awarded a grant of £100,000 (€116,5000) to develop and launch a solution to combat mobile phone theft.

Yougetitback.com was chosen as one of four winners of the Mobile Phone Security Challenge, part of Design Out Crime, an initiative from Britain’s Home Office’s design and technology alliance against crime and the design council.

The company, with partners Data Transfer Communications and PDD, were one of four teams awarded £100,000 to develop a solution to combat mobile phone theft.
