THE ISEQ index added a further 19.58 points to close the week at 2,700.93.

Trading was quiet throughout the day in Dublin as investors took some profits from the recent good run enjoyed by many stocks throughout the week.

In the financial sector, AIB shed 6c to 1.71, Bank of Ireland declined 5c to 1.66, Irish Life & Permanent weakened 16c to 2.84, while insurance company FBD Holdings fell back 9c to 6.41.
