ENTERPRISE Ireland has said it has changed its focus and support structure for client companies, in a bid to help them better cope with the economic downturn.

The agency said, at the launch of its latest annual report, its priorities are ensuring that companies have adequate access to finance; helping companies win sales; building competitiveness; driving innovation and fostering entrepreneurship.

The state development agency released just over €100 million in financial support to client companies, last year – funds which went on a number of initiatives including R&D support, company expansions and management development/training programmes.
