MACRA na Feirme has rejected a claim that the installation aid scheme for young farmers does not provide good value for money.

It is disappointed with the value for money review by the Department of Finance, which also states that the scheme needs to be altered.

The review found that the scheme cost the Department of Agriculture nearly €1 for every €3 distributed in aid.
