Tillage farmers have twice level of injuries compared to other systems

TILLAGE farms have twice the level of injuries compared to all farm systems, according to Teagasc research.

It has also revealed that just 47% of tillage farms have completed a risk assessment-safety statement to date.

The research further showed that farmers have a negative health profile compared with other occupational groups.
