IRISH-OWNED firms are being encouraged to apply to enter the Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Awards, now in their 10th year.

Irish-owned firms urged to aim for Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Awards

They were set up to recognise Ireland’s indigenous technology companies which have delivered exceptional growth in turnover over the last five years.

Previous winning companies include Data Electronics, PulseLearning and 2008’s winning entry, Lincor Solutions Ltd, which is a provider of next generation interactive digital media solutions to the healthcare sector.

The company was recognised as the overall winner following huge aggregate growth of 3,145% over the previous five years.

Richard Cooke, chief executive, said winning last year’s Fast 50 competition “opened quite a few doors” with both prospective customers and investors.

As a measure of business acumen it is internationally recognised and that has given Lincor “much greater brand recognition, visibility and acknowledged credibility as a leader in its market”, he said.

David O’Flanagan, partner, Deloitte said, “The Fast 50 awards are an opportunity for technology businesses to gain recognition for their successes and achievements. In what has been a turbulent business environment, there has never been a more important time for businesses to highlight their achievements.

“Irish technology companies have, in the past, proven their ability to achieve growth even in adverse operating conditions. We expect that the companies we recognise this year in the Fast 50 listing will highlight the entrepreneurship, spirit and innovation present in the Irish technology industry and demonstrate that companies with robust business strategies can navigate through the downturn.”

The awards will recognise private and public-listed technology companies that have been innovative, led by management teams with vision that had placed the firms at the cutting edge of their business sectors.
