Airline’s royal flyer

RYANAIR has been given the royal seal of approval after Queen Sofia of Spain travelled on the airline from Spain to London.

The 70-year-old paid €15 for a flight on Sunday evening.

Mixing with Spanish and British holidaymakers, she flew from Santander to Stansted. Sofia was travelling to visit her brother Constantine, the former King of Greece, who is recovering from heart surgery in a London hospital.

A source at the Spanish royal palace said it was common practice for members of the House of Bourbon to fly on scheduled flights.
