Export firms offer best prospects

Chairman of the board of Enterprise Ireland, Hugh Cooney, said Irish exporting companies are the country’s best prospect for trading its way through the recession.

He said that is the reason why it has increased the number of major minister-led trade missions to 15 this year, in addition to 20 international trade related events.

It has also established the Enterprise Development Fund aimed at helping companies to sustain and develop their business.
