DIAGEO, owners of Guinness and Baileys in Ireland, said sales in the third quarter of its financial year were flat.

In a trading update, it said it still expects to deliver growth in organic operating profits of between 4% and 6% for the full year.

The group, which is the world’s largest distiller, said third quarter sales fell due to a sharp drop in orders from its US distributors.
