ISEQ finishes up 62.36 points

THE ISEQ index finished up 62.36 points at 2,372.89. The main banks were weak throughout the day amid growing speculation that the State might end up with at least majority ownership from the NAMA plan.

AIB finished 9c down at e1.12, Bank of Ireland lost 5c to 84c, Irish Life and Permanent jumped 12c to e1.92, while insurance group FBD increased 23c to e6.70.

CRH powered up 66c to e16.94, Grafton Group gained 23c to e2.23, while Kingspan Group hiked 19c to e3.50.
