€1m rent sought for ex-record shop
The company Zavvi went into administration in Britain last December with losses of over €108m, and had 11 Irish shops, some of them now taken over by rival HMV.
The large retail unit in Cork, part of the Queen’s Old Castle and previously occupied by Virgin Megastore, is being pitched now at alternative uses, especially big brand British retailers, and those looking for more space in Cork. Landlord is Clarendon Properties.
